One of the things that goes into my mind when in the job interview is always the “How much should I state for the salary?”… Years back, I would always talk to a fellow interviewee about how much he would say if he were asked. I will always put in a thousand or more to the price. But I have come to find out that this should not be the case, and I will tell you in a while.

Web design for one thing is a piece of your brain. A piece of the creative juice in your mind. No amount of money can be put into an original idea. Any salesman will say that its easier to sell an idea than a product. Web designers sells or provide ideas using web design masterpiece that they can create. Now, how much should I ask for the salary? I say, if you trust your skills, let them give the offer.

Ok, I will be practical here, not too many people will be willing to risk a job interview. You might not get hired by that answer or might not get the price you’re after, but at least you expressed confidence and people that are confident in their abilities are hard to find. Confident people are easy to train, easy to get along with. How many people do you know will say “bahala na”, most especially if its their first time? I know because I have been one. But being in the web design industry for years, being competitive and confident with your skills will make you survive.

Don’t sound so perfect or make up excuses in an interview, don’t say skills that you don’t know. Say your fuck ups, say your crash and burn. Don’t give a damn thing to anything when it comes to interview, there are a lots of jobs in the country, believe me and a web designer is always a high demand. Just imagine millions of websites are being created every hour in the world. Web designer, that is your market.

Last time I posted about the web design industry in the Philippines. I also talked about SEO in the Philippines. But I would like to take my part in educating future bloggers or SEO specialist and share some things that I have learned so far.

The video that I will show you is a tutorial on how to go about:

• researching for a keyword
• picking the best keyword and
• how to analyze your keyword competition in google searches.

The example that I used in this tutorial is the keyword “pinay scandal“. Though in the end I concluded that there are other keywords that are untapped and has less competition but tons of traffic “free pinay scandal“. It is easy to dominate and I hope to educate people to think differently and not be swayed by the bandwagon.

If I am an adult webmaster, I could easily earn money by the keyword that I have discovered in the tutorial. But I won’t do it because I might get pwnd by the authorities. I hope this would help a lot of people leave me a comment if you liked the video.

With regards to web design, I can clearly say that the Philippines is one of the most talented with regards to creativity on the web. I have known tons of web designers that have huge talent in web design that works for companies that pay them 1 / 4 of what they should be earning. Though the skills of web designers are top notch in the country. Some people take advantage of the low price labor in the Philippines to run their web design business. I know because I have been into one.

SEO in the Philippines and Bloggers

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is kind of under rated in the country. And I have not yet found any good ones that really know what they are doing with regards to SEO. Not to mention bloggers that will talk about promoting their site to social networks to get tons of traffic = money. This is a myth and should be changed. For months I have been learning SEO, Affiliate Marketing and Internet Marketing, and I have come to find out that not many people (especially bloggers in the Philippines) know how to optimize their site. How did I know that they don’t know how to optimize their site? Notice when they do not make a post on their blog, their blog dies. I am not saying I’m a guru in this field, but come on, I bet you notice that, everybody is just posting what other sites have already posted. If problogger posted something, it would spread like wild fire. It’s just a rehash of a rehash of a rehash. Nothing new, nothing useful. Optimization is for the long term result, now, why aren’t getting this long term result to traffic that they are talking about? . . . . Because they don’t know how…

Can you see the opportunity here? Not too many people know how to optimize, when offline business take it online, they would need the expertise of an Internet Marketing Specialist in the Philippines. Not just people who know how to optimize pinay sexscandal post.

In reality, SEO Specialist and Internet Marketing in the Philippines would be a lucrative job. I already know someone getting paid 50,000 Pesos (starting) for this job position, and he wants to have an increase next month.

Personally…

I would rather be a specialist in internet marketing and do my own affiliate business than work for a company.

There are lots of people who failed and succeeded. Those who took the risk to follow their dreams. People such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs went into total ass failure back then but look at them now. Bill Gates went total bankrupt when he lost a lawsuit for Microsoft (time when MS was still a sole proprietorship). Steve Jobs fired from his own company!

Learn to take risk. That goes for all of us and let these great people inspire us.

Whatever you do do not quit. As a web designer, you’ll always get the “No” to every proposal you give. What’s important is you always have the guts to make another one and start again. That goes for any job in the world.

One night I’m sitting in my home office. Looking up the internet and suddenly felt the urge to look at some rated 18 materials. I suddenly realize what has come of the “Pinay Scandal” propaganda that the bloggers have made.

If you are looking for the real deal… Don’t bother, all the top ones are overtaken by bloggers. Talk about hijacking. Its totally unrelated to their sites. Now lets see why bloggers do this keyword hijacking.

By the way, the only related one I think is the Pinoy Scandal. If you’re into men that is.

Why Bloggers Want Pinay Sex Scandals SERPS

2. Money
3. Cleaning Up. Cleaning up the Pinay name.

Traffic

This is the primary reason, above anything else. Pinay scandals or anything related to that keyword is the most searched keyword for the Philippines. That is a lie, if you did a little more research, it is not the highly searched keyword in our country.

Do your homework and you’ll realize that the most highly searched term the Philippines is legal and HIGH PAYING. I have a couple of sites build around it making $1 per click. It’s all about research and not being swayed by other bloggers. Think twice before you believe them. I’m not saying they’re lieing, but you have a brain, use it. If you feel that that’s logical then go for it. If its too good to be true, it probably is.

They want to be known. I’m calling out all bloggers who optimized those keywords and you arrive at their site with no information related to them. I’ll explain why theres no money what so ever to this kind of keyword and how worthless it is to optimize this keyword.

Money

Most bloggers especially the new ones have adsense. To earn money with adsense you have to have content. To get that money people must click your ads. Easy right? WRONG!

Fact

• Adsense doesn’t allow pornographic materials or related materials to be advertised on adwords. Adwords is where they get the money to pay for adsense. Adwords is where companies advertise so you can place their ads on your site in which your visitors click on. Here’s the deal, Porno industry/companies are not allowed in adwords. So, where will google get the money to pay you if you have that pinay scandal traffic? They don’t have ads to show, instead, they will give you John Chow ads that costs 0.01 a click or non profit ads by google.
• More traffic, less clicks = smart pricing. How many of you experienced those $0.01 per click ads? LOL You won’t earn money by hijacking traffic with unrelated keywords. Google is smarter than you think. If you think its just a plain More Traffic = More Money, you’re dreaming buddy.

Cleaning Up

Forgive my rudeness but I don’t get this. Why would you clean someone else’ mess? Don’t you think by doing this, more and more pinay would be more liberated because they won’t be afraid that their scandalous videos won’t be found in the internet because bloggers hijacked the keyword. Folks, think again… There are times when you have to be chivalrous for a girl and a time to knock her out in the head. She made a mistake, just make her deal with it. It’s her decision. Chivalry is different from being a total suck up.

My point is, aside from getting pissed by not finding the materials that I want, but for you people, put your efforts on keywords that will bring in the money. Instead of riding the bandwagon where everybody is. Try think differently.
