I think Paypal is one of the easiest payment method in the history of the internet. Though there is not much competition for Paypal. I do hope that some company will spring out of no where to compete with Paypal.
I don’t know, I just don’t like having some kind of monopoly on the internet.
This guide is really helpful and I thank the poster for making such guide. I just created my first paypal account thanks to this guide.

Paypal Lover,
Thanks for the comment. I also agree with you. Monopoly in the industry is not good. Only if you are the owner. haha.
Yes. Paypal is important if you want to earn more money online or just want to simply send money online to people you love. Much like a remittance of sort. But its very handy, safe, and fast.

Khun, its not possible. EON debit cards from Union Bank of the Philippines are accepted by Paypal though, and it is easy to get. Just like getting a savings account.

Did you choose your country from the drop down? If there’s still a state, just fill up your city/region. You can always change that later.

Hi.. I added a debit card (bdo) for my paypal account, but when i checked my statement i cant find my code… :((

@iamecka
You need to contact BDO and ask for the Paypal EXPUSE.
That’s your code as confirmation when adding a credit/debit card.
March 1st, 2010 at 4:59 pm
I have successfully verified my Paypal account using my BDO saving account.

questions
1.can I use mother’s bank account for me during sign up
2.what should I write in name box? a name whose debit card it is or my name during sign up. please reply
March 22nd, 2010 at 3:09 pm
@agnivesh,
You may use your mother’s card. But keep in mind, you can only use a card once. Once its linked to a paypal account, your mom can not use that same card to open a paypal account. You will need to unlink it for her to use her card again.
You write the name of the owner of the card. The one written on the card.
