I don’t want to start this Sunday morning with a rant. I still have tons of web design work to do that needed done today. But I can’t stand what I’ve been hearing inside the house.
I always want to keep things I think positive. No matter how hard the situation. Especially when it comes to the condition in the Philippines. I love this country, the women, the sights, busy streets, everything about it. And in fact I never really thought that the Philippines is in bad state. I say it’s all temporary and a lot of opportunities are already there up for grabs. What are these opportunities?
The cost of living in the Philippines is one of the cheapest in the world
Aside from India (which is striving). We all heard it, mass media have been planting in our brains that the Philippines has the worst economic status. Sure. It’s true, but think on the bright side, in the US a $50 (2000 Pesos) is just enough for a car gas for a day, while in the Philippines, how much would it cost you? P2000 a day will go a long way.
But hey snoob, the income of Filipinos are too damn cheap… I agree, which brings me to my next point.
Labor is Cheap in the Philippines
Which brings out GREAT opportunity for business owners to hire staff for a good price. But with the up coming law that will exempt all minimum wage owners from tax and giving them a mandatory raise, I think the business owners and entrepreneur should think of a better way to combat this and minimize the cost. If you want to make a living, do business.
The Philippines is a 3rd World Country
Correct. Which makes us untapped. Untapped for saturated market the other countries are already saturated. There’s a lot of money to be made in the Philippines, there are still industries that are not yet active in the country that are already worth billions of dollars in the US. Examples are electric car industry, domain industry, web design, affiliate and online marketing, ecommerce. I can go on all day in this.
You see, if you’re one of the people that think that the Philippines have no hope. You should think on the bright side. Just like in any place, there is poverty. There are still homeless in the US, even in ancient times. The richest city in the world also have the poorest people and the richest people.
Its not where you’re at but where your heading.

>>Its not where you’re at but where your heading.
quite true, honestly, deep in my guts, I wanted to go back and pursue my career in Philippines despite the fact that I could make more money in abroad.

That is one quality that I really like with Filipinos. When they realized that its not all about the money, they will return and help our country. Its still not too late my brother, the Philippines will always welcome you back.

Your such a great adviser. Tama ka “Its not where you’re at but where your heading.” What had happen in my life was so frustrating that I end up not letting my parents know where I am for 3 years and living with someone that I don’t know. It’s been a year now since Im self studying web designing but I still get frustrated because I’m not artistic as other web designer, I never get into colledge, plus the bad situation of my life now, but I will never give up, it doesnt matter where I am now what matter is my future, what matter is my hope that someday not too long from now I can also be happy. I just found your blog last night and I already read all your article and its really awesome, your not just teaching us how to be a good web designer but also to a better person. Your article about self improvement was superbly done.

Aldrin, I’m sure you can make yours and other people’s lives better when you started to think differently in a positive way. Change starts from ourselves. Never make your surroundings affect you. Instead, affect your surroundings. This is what self improvement is all about. Never give up, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you for dropping a comment. It makes me happy to post some even more articles knowing that I can help people even in the smallest of ways.
