You see, people that work at home today are either freelancers, business owners or work at home employees from a company. What I mean is, if you want to work at home or wants to have your own business, managed on any corners of the earth anywhere, anytime, having an online business is a way to go. There are lots and lots of ways to go about this. I will list most of the them here and give a little detail about them as well:

Affiliate marketing comes in when he promotes a product on his website and earns commission when somebody purchases the product.
  • Work at Home Freelancing - I started as a freelancer back when I was still in college and have a day job. It is my only stress reliever as I can do the things I love (designing). So, How Do You Get Started?

For the sake of our discussion, we are going to refer work at home as working at home using the computer or online. Because of the nature of this business, all transactions must also be done online. Meaning, money sent to you as payment must also be done online. So, how to do this? First, you must sign up for Paypal. This is where people / customers will send you the money which you can withdraw anytime to your bank. If you are unsure on how to create a paypal account, just follow the guide we have on this site.

Second, you must have a website. What good is an online business if you don’t have an online presence? Get yourself a good domain and a web hosting if you want to get your presence known. There are lots of web hosting out there, both local and international. If you are not comfortable paying internation companies dollars, you may also search for local web hosting in the Philippines.

Third, now you have a web hosting and a domain, you have to build you site. Wordpress.org offers a free platform so you can create a website in a snap. Just install it on the web hosting you bought and you are set to go. Put in some content about your products and services and begin promoting.

Web Hosting Philippines Providers

Posted on 01 April 2008 by snoob - web designer philippines

Choosing a web hosting provider in the Philippines can be one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make, whether you are just planning to establish an online presence for personal gratification or preparing to launch an online business. With the sheer number of web hosting companies competing to get your attention, choosing the best one to suit your needs can be a very challenging job indeed!

But don’t worry, this task can be made easier if you just follow these simple tips:

Determine the purpose of your website. Are you building one for personal purposes? Or are you planning to launch a successful online business? If you just wanted to create a personal website to share with your family and friends, then perhaps you can play with free web hosting services. That is if you can put up with all the ads the hosting company will display on your pages!

But if you plan to turn your website into a true income-generating endeavor, then it’s best to get a paid web hosting plan. It’ll give your website the credibility and authority it needs to make money. Trust me on this.

Think about your needs. Are you planning to make a simple website with only a few targeted visitors or are you expecting high traffic from it? How big are you expecting your website will be in the future?

It might help you to know that most websites use less than 10MB of disk space and less than 3 GB of bandwidth per month. So don’t put much weight on offers of “unlimited bandwidth” (the amount of bytes transferred as visitors view your site) or “unlimited disk space”. No such things exist! Always look for the fine print to avoid being charged exorbitant fees for having exceeded your plan’s unlimited bandwidth allocation.

Also try to see if the company offers a free site builder system. This can be especially useful if you don’t know any website programming skills.

And remember, you need a hosting provider that is fast, reliable and has a 99.5% uptime or better! Anything less than this is not acceptable.

Look for quality support. Are the help pages and FAQ well-populated? Is there a toll-free number that you can call 24/7 for support? Is there a chat support facility or any guarantee that all concerns will be addressed within 24-48 hours? Remember, a good customer support is of utmost importance!

Do other web owners recommend the company? What do other web owners say about the company in review sites and forums? You can use this information to help you choose the best web hosting provider for your website.
